Commodity Producers: The Cure For Low Prices Is Low Prices

The market is doing what it is supposed to do. You know, making supply go down. The cure for low prices is low prices. When you have low prices, production declines, exploration declines and it is happening.

This is going to be good for the producers, not at the moment, certainly in the next couple of years the producers are going to turn around and go up a lot.

The Main Problem Is That America Has Got Staggering Amounts Of Debt

The main problem is that America has got staggering amounts of debt. We all would like to spend a lot more money. But every time we look over our shoulder there is huge debt at a national level, at an individual level. That is where the problem is. China has got debt problems too and you notice people getting bankrupt. They cannot do in 2015 what they did in 2009. (SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA), SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY))

One Reason The U.S. Economy Cannot Grow

We have a gigantic government deficit. The debt is going through the roof. One reason we cannot grow is because we have this gigantic debt. You cannot grow when you are dragging trillions of dollars of debt on your shoulders.

The Reason The Market Is Going Up

The reason the market is going up is because it really does not count until interest rates go up two, three, four times. Once that happens than you should start worrying. (SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA), SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY))

Markets: Who Cares If Its Up 0.25%?

One quarter of one percent is so below historical normal levels. This is insignificant to the market. Who cares if its up 0.25%? The economy does not care, the market does not care. Average interest rates are normally 3 percent in America. Why are we so involved with 0.25%?

Low Artificial Interest Rates Are Going To Be Very Costly

They should not have lowered interest rates to zero for 7 or 8 years. We are all going to pay a horrible price for this. Debt has gone through the roof in the last 7 or 8 years. The Fed`s balance sheet alone has gone up 600 percent in seven years.

You and I, everybody is going to pay a horrible price for this historical low artificial interest rate.

A Crisis Would Be Bullish For Gold

Low prices for many people will be crisis. If the price of gold goes to 900 dollars / ounce a lot of people will see it as a crisis because a lot of people believe that gold is holy and it can never go down. That would be a crisis in price.

Certainly if war breaks out in the world that will make gold go up, it will make crude oil go up. Everything will go up, oil, agriculture, gold. Yes, a crisis would be bullish for gold as low prices would be good for gold. The U.S. Dollar Will Get Overpriced

I do own a lot of U.S. Dollars, I am not selling the U.S. Dollar. I expect the U.S Dollar to get very overpriced because there is more turmoil coming and people do not know what to do so they look for a safe haven. The U.S. Dollar is not a safe haven. The U.S. is the largest debtor nation in the history of the world. Most people think it is a safe haven so it will get overpriced and I hope I am smart enough to sell it if and when that happens.

Agriculture Is In The Process Of Turning

Agriculture, when it turns and it is in the process of turning it is going to go up for a long time. Agriculture prices are down a lot in the past 15 or 20 years. It is one of the few in the world that has gone down in price. Sugar is down 75 or 80 percent from its all time high. That is astonishing if you start looking at the world. So, this is going to go on for a long time when agriculture turns.

Crude Oil: Supply Will Be Cut Back

At the moment as you know it is not profitable to drill nearly anywhere in the world at these prices so a lot of drilling is going to be cut back, few wells are going to be built. This is going to last a long time, this will last a long time when it turns. Gold Will Probably Go Under 1,000 USD/Ounce

I have been negative on Gold. I own Gold but I have hedged my Gold. I haven`t bought Gold for about 5 years now. I expect another opportunity to buy Gold. It probably will go under 1,000 dollars an ounce and if that happens I hope I am smart enough to buy more. Agriculture: I Am Very Optimistic For The Next Decade

Agriculture has been a horrible business for over 30 years. The average age of farmers in Amrica is 58 years old, in Japan its 66. I could go on and on with horrible statistics about people dying, getting out of the business, committing suicide.

More people in America study Public Relations than study Agriculture. So, we are going to have a crisis in Agriculture soon unless something happens. If the prices of food do not go up we are not going to have any food at any price. I am very optimistic about agriculture in the next decade or two.

Somewhere along in here this is going to be a great opportunity to buy oil, to buy Russia (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)), to buy countries that produce oil. It is going to be a wonderful opportunity before too much longer.

Crude Oil: How Low Can It Really Go?

I don`t know. When it develops momentum like this it will certainly overshoot, things always do when they break down like this. I don`t know, 32 dollars a barrel...you pick the number.

Crude Oil: There Will Be Wonderful Opportunities

I thought that crude oil had stopped going down whatever bad news came out but obviously more bad news came out and it kept going down. So what I said at that time was that you could start buying a small amount, I did buy a small amount but now I am not buying.

It looks to me when you have something like this happening it usually develops momentum and goes down for a while. But somewhere along the line there is going to be a great opportunity to buy crude oil, to buy Russia, to buy countries that produce oil. It is going to be wonderful before too much longer.

Where To Invest: Chinese Tourism

You already know that Chinese tourism is exploding. Do not expect that Chinese tourism is now going to dry up. There are 1300 million Chinese. They had not been able to travel much for the past 300, 400 years. Now its easy to get a passport. They will be traveling in their own country and they are certainly going to travel around the world. Chinese tourism is one of the great growth industries of our time.

China: Investing In Pollution Control

I have invested in some companies. Just to run down the list, on pollution, you all know that China is still very polluted. Unfortunately Hong Kong suffers some of that too, but they know that in China. And they are starting to clean it up. Somebody is going to make a fortune cleaning up China. Find the right people, find the right companies and you will too make a fortune cleaning up China.

Precious Metals: Where I Might Start Buying

At 900 dollars an ounce for Gold and in Silver around 11 or 10 dollars. I do not even know if they are going to get there, but if they do, that would be where I would be interested in buying. (Regarding Gold), I might even start buying before at 950 dollars per ounce.

Emerging Markets: Kazakhstan

I have never invested in Kazakhstan (or Republic of Kazakhstan) before for many different reasons. One of the reasons is that Kazakhstan used to be closed to foreign investing. Global Turmoil Is Bullish For The U.S. Dollar

As the turmoil gets worse, my theory is that more people will buy the U.S. Dollar and it will go higher and higher. They are not going to buy the Yen, they are not going to buy the Euro. They will buy the U.S. Dollar. That is the same reason that some people are diversifying into the United States.

Does It Matter Who The Next U.S. President Will Be?

Whoever becomes President, their friends will be better off, there is no question about that. But most of us are not going to be better off. The debt is going to go higher, the absurd interventions worldwide are going higher, the interventions domestically are going higher too. So, no. I do not think it matters much at all.

The Stock Market Could Turn Into A Bubble Before Its Over

Global Markets: I Am Very Cautious and Worried

Mainly I am worried. It has been six and a half years since the bull market has started in the United States and therefore in the rest of the world and it is unusual. Every four to seven years through out American history we had setbacks and consolidations or some other form of economic problems. So we are overdue.

It is all based on staggering amounts of money printing and debt, not just in the U.S. but worldwide. So I am very cautious and worried.

The U.S. Dollar Is Perceived By Investors As A Safe Haven

I own more U.S. Dollars on the long side than any other currency for that exact reason. There is more turmoil coming and many people perceive the U.S. Dollar and the United States as a safe haven. The Dollar is certainly not a safe haven it is perceived that way.

Investing: Parts Of The Chinese Economy That Will Boom

China is spending staggering amounts of money cleaning up the filth. China is very polluted, terribly polluted. They are spending money, lots of money to clean up. Some parts of the Chinese economy will boom no matter what happens to the world.

Chinese Shares Are Probably My Largest Holding

Well, I think my Chinese shares are probably my largest holding. Who knows what is going to happen in the futures but I bought shares in China last week. I am extremely worried about the world going forward and that is going to affect everybody including China obviously. Anybody in China that does business with the west is going to feel the effects but many parts of the Chinese economy are going to continue to boom no matter what happens in the West.

China Stocks Had A Correction, Still Strongest Stock Market In 2015

They had a correction but the Shanghai stock exchange is the strongest stock market in the world this year, it is up almost 50 percent. The American stock indexes and the European stock indexes are up 4 percent.

The U.S. Dollar Is Going To Go Higher As Turmoil Increases Worldwide

The U.S. Dollar is going to go higher as turmoil increases worldwide and as the U.S. dollar goes higher, gold (SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD)) and silver (iShares Silver Trust ETF (SLV)),  will probably continue under pressure. At some point the dollar will get overvalued, it may turn into a bubble and I will have to sell my dollars. Then I will put my money into silver and gold and maybe the Renminbi, the Chinese currency which by then should be convertible.

Technology Stocks In China

Perhaps the technology stocks in China were entering a bubble like that. Not sure it got that developed. If it continued... It was certainly an incipient bubble and we will wait to see if it becomes a full fledged bubble.

My Children Will Own My Chinese Shares

I hope my children own my Chinese shares. If I had sold American shares in 1915 I might have looked smart for 2 or 3 years. But over the next 80 years I would have looked pretty foolish.

China is the next great country in the world, so in the case of China, I want my children to have the shares. Some of the shares will probably fail but overall it is going to be a great, great, great success. So my children some day will say, he must had been smart.
