Some parts of the Chinese economy are going to do well no matter what happens to the world. If you are in pollution clean up in China you will not even know if America and Europe disappear as you are too busy cleaning up China. China is philty right now.
Some parts of the Chinese are going to do extremely well no matter what happens and that is true for India, that is true of all the world.

Markets: My Shorts Positions Are Bigger Than My Longs
China is overdue for a serious correction in the markets. China has not had a recession for many years and that is very unusual. I own China but I have shorted other things as hedges against it. And by the way, my shorts are bigger than my longs, so its not a 1 for 1 kind of thing.

China Is My Largest Long Position
China is my largest long position. My largest positions are airlines and tourism in China and the collapse in the price of oil has been good for airlines all over the world. Tourism is booming in Asia, pollution control. I have been in Beijing 3 times in the last month and it is filthy, it is horrible! Somebody is going to make a lot of money cleaning up China.

Investing: Parts Of The Chinese Economy That Will Boom
China is spending staggering amounts of money cleaning up the filth. China is very polluted, terribly polluted. They are spending money, lots of money to clean up. Some parts of the Chinese economy will boom no matter what happens to the world.
Chinese Shares Are Probably My Largest Holding
Well, I think my Chinese shares are probably my largest holding. Who knows what is going to happen in the futures but I bought shares in China last week. I am extremely worried about the world going forward and that is going to affect everybody including China obviously. Anybody in China that does business with the west is going to feel the effects but many parts of the Chinese economy are going to continue to boom no matter what happens in the West.

Technology Stocks In China
Perhaps the technology stocks in China were entering a bubble like that. Not sure it got that developed. If it continued... It was certainly an incipient bubble and we will wait to see if it becomes a full fledged bubble.

My Children Will Own My Chinese Shares
I hope my children own my Chinese shares. If I had sold American shares in 1915 I might have looked smart for 2 or 3 years. But over the next 80 years I would have looked pretty foolish.
China is the next great country in the world, so in the case of China, I want my children to have the shares. Some of the shares will probably fail but overall it is going to be a great, great, great success. So my children some day will say, he must had been smart.

China & Gold
In China it was almost impossible to buy gold 15 years ago, even 10 years ago. Now there are gold shops everywhere in China.

China Is Slowing Down
The Chinese economy has been slowing down partly because the Chinese have been trying to slow it down, they had inflation, they had a housing bubble, so they have been doing the right thing, if you ask me, to slow things down. It is happening, the European economy is not robust, even America is not booming. Those are the customers for the Chinese, so China is slowing down just as many other parts of the world are as well.

China: Nothing Goes Straight Up
China is already changing the world that we have known and it is going to continue to change the world.
Do not get me wrong, they are certainly going to have setbacks along the way. Every country, every company, every family, every individual has setbacks as they rise, nothing goes straight up. So, China will certainly have problems along the way. I do not know what or when or why or how but they certainly will.

China Is Slowing Down But There Are Interesting Sectors To Invest
They have been trying to slow things down, they had inflation, they had a property bubble and the government is rightly trying to slow things down.Sme of their customers are slowing down, Europe, etcetera. So, yes, things are changing in China, they have been slowing down.
I have been buying Chinese shares for the past year. I did not buy Chinese stocks between 2008 and 2013. But the government came down with a list of the parts of the Chinese economy they are going to emphasize, where they are going to billions of dollars emphasizing these parts of the economy. So I have been buying shares in those sectors of the Chinese economy.

Geopolitical: South China Sea Military Moves
China historically has not been a very aggressive nation. There are very few international wars, even when they were great sailors, they did not go over and claim colonies, or go to war with the places they visited. So, historically, China has not been a nation that had international wars.
They have slaughtered each other, they have had civil wars, but they had internal wars at times, but they have not been very aggressive on the international scene.
Yes, I see what is happening in the South China sea now, I do not really know who is right or who is wrong here, they all claim that, "You are wrong!", "You are wrong!". It seems a little absurd that anybody is ranging over a few rocks in the middle of the ocean.

China: Buying Less U.S. Government Bonds
The Chinese have more or less seemed to have stopped buying what they were before, their holding in U.S. Government Bonds, at least what they report is not going up very much, so that seems to have slowed down. The Japanese likewise. It is partially because they all know what I think I know, that the U.S. Dollar is a terribly flawed currency, they are trying to diversify away from the U.S. Dollar, so I think they have more or less stopped now. At least stopped increasing their positions, their ownership and more and more people are trying to move away from the U.S. Dollar.
