Commodity Producers: The Cure For Low Prices Is Low Prices

The market is doing what it is supposed to do. You know, making supply go down. The cure for low prices is low prices. When you have low prices, production declines, exploration declines and it is happening.

This is going to be good for the producers, not at the moment, certainly in the next couple of years the producers are going to turn around and go up a lot.

A Crisis Would Be Bullish For Gold

Low prices for many people will be crisis. If the price of gold goes to 900 dollars / ounce a lot of people will see it as a crisis because a lot of people believe that gold is holy and it can never go down. That would be a crisis in price.

Certainly if war breaks out in the world that will make gold go up, it will make crude oil go up. Everything will go up, oil, agriculture, gold. Yes, a crisis would be bullish for gold as low prices would be good for gold. Crude Oil: Supply Will Be Cut Back

At the moment as you know it is not profitable to drill nearly anywhere in the world at these prices so a lot of drilling is going to be cut back, few wells are going to be built. This is going to last a long time, this will last a long time when it turns. Crude Oil: There Will Be Wonderful Opportunities

I thought that crude oil had stopped going down whatever bad news came out but obviously more bad news came out and it kept going down. So what I said at that time was that you could start buying a small amount, I did buy a small amount but now I am not buying.

It looks to me when you have something like this happening it usually develops momentum and goes down for a while. But somewhere along the line there is going to be a great opportunity to buy crude oil, to buy Russia, to buy countries that produce oil. It is going to be wonderful before too much longer.

Energy Prices: Making A Bottom

I have noticed that energy prices do not go down much, they do not collapse, even when there is bad news. Usually, when there is bad news and things do not continue to go down, it is likely making a bottom. Middle East & The Global Markets

As I watch the world, you look at the Middle East and you see that everybody seems to be making mistakes and it is not just one or two parties in the Middle East. It`s the Israelis, the Egyptians, the Americans, the Russians, everybody.

Everybody is making mistakes and the situation continues to get worse. I am sure that many people see what I see, that there is more turmoil and it is not good for the markets, especially if it escalates and turns into a bigger war.

Crude Oil Will Probably Retest The Lows

The way most markets work when you have a big collapse, there is a bounce, often called a dead cat bounce and then after a while you have a retest of the lows. I would suspect that crude oil is going to retest the lows which was in the 40s or 50s depending if you are talking about Brent or WTI. But yes, I would not be buying crude oil at the moment because I am looking at a retest of the lows. I expect that test to hold.

Crude Oil Will Probably Retest The Lows

The way markets work, usually, when something has a big collapse, there is a dead cat bounce, there is a big bounce for whatever reason and then a few weeks or months later the market tests the lows. So, I would suspect that there will be a test of the lows sometime in the next few weeks or months but the lows will hold.

Crude Oil: I Would Suspect It Is Going To Test The Lows Again

Certainly is the most important commodity far and away wether you like or not. Oil has come straight up in the last few weeks, So I don`t like to buy anything that is going straight up. I would suspect it is going to test its lows sometime in the next few weeks. That is normally what happens when you have a total collapse and you have a bounce. This is the way markets work.

When A Few Producers Go Bankrupt, Oil Will Go Much Higher

In the energy markets, what is happening there, its a political situation that is taking place. Unfortunately, when they bankrupt a few producers, such as the fracking companies, I am afraid oil is going to go much, much higher.
