Investing: What You Should Do

You should invest in what you know a lot about. Do not listen to me or what you read in the newspaper or what you see on TV. Stay with what you know and you will probably come through in better shape than everybody else who is putting money here, putting money there and taking hot tips.

I for instance put some of my money into places that are depressed, Japan, Russia, agriculture, areas that are somewhat depressed.

Investing Outlook: Social Media, Biotech, Agriculture & Precious Metals

Jim Rogers discusses the investment outlook for stocks, commodities and agriculture. While biotech stocks and social media may indeed be in an asset bubble, thins like rice or other agriculture commodities are already depressed and do not have a big downside risk.

Where To Invest When There Is Turmoil

One should diversify and real assets usually in times like we are discussing, if you own a farm you are probably going to be better off than most people but be sure your farm is far away from the masses that will come in and steal everything you have. So having some real assets especially agriculture, you may not do well, but you will do better than everybody else in times like that.

Is The Commodities Bull Market Over?

I don`t know if this commodities bull market is over, I happen to think it is not. But we are having a major correction , which is normal in markets. That is the way markets have always worked.

I do not see enough permanent supply in most commodities, except maybe in iron ore and a couple of other commodities. I don`t see enough permanent supply to end the bull market unless we are going to have an economic collapse. We could and will eventually.

I am especially optimistic about agriculture at the moment.
