Gold: Not Rushing To Buy

I am not rushing in to buy. I still expect a better opportunity to buy sometime in the next 2 or 3 years. If that happens I hope I am smart enough to buy more. (SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF(NYSE:GDX), iShares Silver Trust ETF (SLV))

Markets: Looking To Buy A Russian Tourism Company

I am looking for more investments in Russia. I am trying to buy into a Russian tourism company because I am optimistic about Russian tourism. More people are coming to understand that Russia ((Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)) is a good place to invest. Russia is not a huge debt nation, it is not like Portugal or the United States. Avoiding The Urge To Trade All The Time

If you are not seeing any extremes, its best to fight the natural urge to stay busy and make "this-might-kinda-work" trades. These trades will just distract you, cause stress, and run up your commission bill.

A Fundamentally Sound, Hated Market

I cannot think of any stock market right now that is more hated than the Russian stock market (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)). I have learned over the years that if you buy something that is really hated especially if it is fundamentally sound, you are probably going to do OK.

Stock Market: Only A Few Generals Are Holding The Market Up

Often you find in markets that marginal companies start going down first and in the end its really just a few generals that are leading the charge. Most stocks are going down but because the generals are big they hold the market up and people thing everything is OK but the Advance/Decline line is deteriorating. I have seen it many times and it has been happening in the U.S. in the last year or two. Last year only one third of the NYSE stocks were up. Investing: Russian Ruble, Short-Term Russian Government Bonds

I bought the Russian Ruble recently, one of the beaten down currencies. What I actually did, I bought short-term government bonds in Rubles. They have a high interest rate and if the Ruble goes up I will get a double play. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))
